The auto show of the same name has officially started in the Chinese city of Tianjin. There, SAIC, together with the R Auto division, demonstrated a new version of the ER6 model. The exterior of the Chinese novelty is not much different from the standard version of the model. The manufacturer only corrected some details. In particular, the car received a closed radiator grill with several protrusions on the engine compartment cover. This design solution gives the car a sporty look. Another interesting detail of the novelty is the installation of dynamic holes for heat dissipation. The side part of the body is smooth, without bright stampings, which visually increases the length of the car. "Shod" the car in large alloy wheels with a design in the form of double five-spoke petals. The feed of the new SAIC ER6 looks pretty standard, but the trunk lid is shaped like a small duck tail. The taillights have a Y-shaped interior pattern and LED fillings.

The car interior is made in a sporty style with black and green trim. There is a large three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a digital instrument panel. The multimedia complex is controlled using a large touchscreen monitor, placed in the manner of a tablet. The seats of the car have developed lateral support, and their armrests are decorated with the R badge.

The technical part of the new SAIC ER6 inherited from the standard model. This means the vehicle is powered by a second generation 8-layer Hair-Pin permanent magnet synchronous motor. This unit generates 184 horsepower and 280 N * m of torque. It is paired with a triple lithium battery of 61.1 kW / h. The vehicle's power reserve is 520 km. The model accelerates to the first "hundred" in 8, 3 seconds.
