The Changan company almost at the same time with several Chinese manufacturers (Great Wall, Chery and others) launched its own premium sub-brand Aushan (Oshan) on the market. This brand is still represented by a small number of cars. However, Changan is steadily expanding its premium sub-brand lineup. So, the manufacturer has recently brought to the home market the new Aushan X7 Plus, which debuted in April at the Shanghai Motor Show.
This model will serve as a flagship for now. Despite this title, it is relatively cheap. Prices for Aushan X7 Plus in the home market start at 79.9 thousand yuan (897 thousand rubles). For the top version, they ask for 135.9 thousand yuan (1.53 million rubles). This price is also surprising because one of the competitors of the Ashan X7 Plus is the Mazda CX-5, which costs significantly more.
The Chinese model offers customers premium equipment. In particular, the car already in the middle trim levels comes with seats upholstered in artificial leather with contrasting stitching. The novelty is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, which is visually combined with a wide touchscreen. But the latter is located closer to the driver's seat. Together with the Aushan X7 Plus, you can also get climate equipment with physical control keys, covered with metal, a start button, an electronic parking brake, a multifunction steering wheel and other options.
Interestingly, depending on the modification, the Chinese model is equipped with 3, 5, 7 or 10, 25-inch screens, which are installed in place of the instrument panel. There are also 3 options for a 7, 10, 25 or 12, 3 inch touchscreen monitor to choose from.
Under the hood of the Chinese novelty, a turbocharged engine with a volume of 1.5 liters is installed. Its maximum power, depending on the modification, reaches 170 or 188 hp. By default, the crossover is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. For a surcharge, buyers can take a seven-speed "robot".
