On the eve of the Internet there was information that AvtoVAZ is preparing to launch on sale a new budgetary complete set of the Lada Granta model, which will be named Classic Light. It is also reported that the developer will be able to reduce the price of a car by 28 thousand rubles by adjusting a number of available options. The power characteristics of this model will be determined by an eight-valve engine with a volume of 1.6 liters. No changes to the exterior of the car are planned.
As for the option, which the domestic manufacturer intends to exclude from the list of available ones, this list includes: air conditioning, radio tape recorder, ERA-GLONASS, anti-lock braking system, supplemented by electronic stability control and force distribution at the time of braking. All other characteristics will be retained. The price for such a model will be 503.9 thousand rubles.
This information is not surprising, since AvtoVAZ specialists periodically adjust their own modifications in search of the best price-quality ratio. However, as it turned out, the manufacturer, apparently, will not be able to implement such ideas. The fact is that the release of such a configuration was refused by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, since the anti-lock system is an obligatory element that should be included in the configuration of any new car.
It is not known how the fate of this project will develop in the future, but it is absolutely certain that Lada Granta will not be released in this version. It is possible that the addition of ABS can correct the situation and the car will still make its debut on the market.
