Rumors that the ultra-compact Soviet-Russian hatchback "Oka" may reappear on the market have been circulating for a long time. In part, they appear because this model is a very cheap car. However, AvtoVAZ, which could have returned such a car, does not make any official statements on this matter. But, perhaps, "Oka" will still go to dealerships, and in a completely different form.

Our independent designer has published a series of renders showing what the VAZ-1111 Oka 2021-2022 might look like if it returns to the market. In his opinion, the car will be presented in the back of a compact crossover, not a hatchback. Despite such dramatic changes, such a development scenario is quite probable. AvtoVAZ now does not have full-fledged crossovers: XRay is a raised hatchback, and both versions of the Niva are SUVs. And such models, given their growing popularity, are needed by the Volzhsky Automobile Plant.

The presented crossover VAZ-1111 "Oka" 2021-2022 by the nature of the execution is not similar to any other car "AvtoVAZ". Moreover, it is difficult to guess the features of modern SUVs in it. The novelty has received a compact head optics with three vertical LED strips. The front lights are visually integrated into one unit with a narrow radiator grille, in the center of which is the Lada logo. The crossover was equipped with a large front bumper with a wide trapezoidal air intake in the center and two additional ones on the sides. Inside the latter are thin strips of LED lights.

The feed of the presented novelty goes almost vertically in relation to the roadway: only the rear glazing is located at an insignificant angle. On top of the bumper fixed below, the developer placed inserts with a fine mesh, which, as it were, imitates a diffuser.

One of the remarkable details of the presented crossover VAZ-1111 "Oka" 2021-2022 is that it has a large ground clearance. This, in combination with a wide plastic body kit, indirectly indicates that if such a car is launched into production, it will have good off-road qualities. But the engines of this new item will be standard. The crossover is likely to receive the 1.6-liter 122-horsepower unit found in the Vesta. A variant is also possible with the appearance on the presented "Oka" of a 1.3-liter 150-horsepower turbo engine, which will be borrowed from the last Renault Duster. This assumption is supported by the fact that the AvtoVAZ company is transferring the entire model range to the CMF-B-LS platform, which allows the installation of such a motor.
