A few days ago, SAIC posted debut teaser images of its new Kun concept car online. At the same time it became known that this model will receive an innovative autopilot, which does not require the participation of the driver in controlling the machine. Today, SAIC showed a short video at the Tianjin Auto Show that further reveals the appearance, interior and characteristics of the future concept.

The new concept car was created jointly by the SAIC Design Center and teams of specialists from Shanghai and London. It uses a unique bionic concept, officially dubbed the Kun, and will feature a large touchscreen monitor in the interior of the vehicle, displaying a variety of interactive animation scenes. The interior of the concept is made in “moonlit frosty white” color.

The self-driving concept car will differ from traditional models with non-standard body proportions. The car will receive short front and rear overhangs. At the same time, the manufacturer will install doors with a gull-wing design on the model, which will increase the volume of the internal space. The stern of the Chinese novelty is made in the same style as the front end. All optics and brand logos will receive LED equipment. It is also worth noting that the car is equipped with solar panels, which will provide a reserve of energy.

The equipment of the model includes the presence of the holographic assistant Vision. It will be located in the center armrest. With the help of holography, passengers will be able to receive data about the parameters of the trip, start navigation, learn information about the environment (for example, the air temperature overboard). The new car will be shown live on October 1 at the China Pavilion at the Dubai World Expo.
