JAC has unveiled the new Däwos Grand Taurus for the home market. The Chinese model is offered at a price of 139.8 thousand yuan (1.58 million rubles). For comparison: the recently debuted GAZ Valdai Next costs 2.28 million rubles.
The Chinese novelty is equipped with a turbodiesel engine that develops up to 220 hp. useful power and 820 N * m tractive torque. A quick start system is supplied with it. The car is equipped with an 8-speed gearbox, which, according to the official statement, stands out for its active gear shifting. JAC officials said the Däwos Grand Taurus offers easy handling.
The novelty is based on a high-strength steel frame. The rear axle of the model has been reinforced in order to increase both reliability and carrying capacity. At the same time, JAC engineers carried out work to reduce the total weight of the car. The Däwos Grand Taurus is said to have the largest cab in its class. The car is complemented by a specially designed driver's seat designed to reduce stress on the back and other parts of the body.
At the rear, the Däwos Grand Taurus has a wide berth. On-board electronics are combined with software that continuously monitors the vehicle's condition and makes it easier to operate.
