The Munich Motor Show will take place in September. Therefore, it is not surprising that August 2021 will be “quiet” for the premieres of new cars and market debutants. But some interesting models are expected this month.

Kia carnival hi

The Kia Carnival limousine, or luxury minivan, is due to hit the home market in August 2021. The car is equipped with nine seats as standard (an 11-seat version is also available in the USA). But the Carnival limousine comes with four seats. The rear of the Korean novelty has 2 separate high-comfort chairs with an electric drive, ventilation, massage and lifting footrests. Also, for passengers of the second row, separate climate control panels and a multimedia complex, wireless charging and other additional equipment are provided. The Carnival limousine is equipped with only one 3.5-liter engine. Kia has not yet announced whether it will ship such a minivan to other countries.

Hyundai Elantra N

In August 2021, sales of the updated "charged" Elantra N will start. As part of the modernization, the Korean sedan has undergone quite serious changes, affecting the body, interior and technical part. So, at the stern of the Elantra N, a large spoiler and a massive bumper with a wide exhaust pipe appeared. The Korean sedan in this version is equipped with a 2-liter turbo engine that develops up to 280 hp. useful power. A car with such a unit gains the first 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds, and its maximum speed is artificially limited at around 250 km / h. Along with the Elantra N will also be offered an electronically controlled limited slip differential, exhaust control systems and engine start control.

Bmw iX3

In August, the updated BMW iX3, which was originally created for China, enters the European market. This model is, in fact, a slightly redesigned X3 crossover. In particular, both versions of the car visually differ only in the absence of a radiator grille and in the presence of decorative contrasting inserts in the electric crossover. The BMW iX3 borrows a 282-horsepower electric motor from the more expensive iX, which is mounted on the rear axle. This unit is combined with a 74 kWh battery, which provides a maximum cruising range of 459 kilometers. In the UK, for a Bavarian electric crossover, they will ask for at least 61.9 thousand pounds (about 6.33 million rubles).

Nissan ariya

This has not been officially confirmed, but it is expected that sales of the first electric crossover Nissan, built on the basis of the new platform, will also start in Europe in August 2021. The Ariya will be available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive with two battery options. The maximum power of the Japanese electric crossover is 389 hp, and the power reserve reaches 660 kilometers. Later Nissan Ariya will reach the Russian market.

Audi

Since the beginning of 2021, Audi has been actively launching several new models on the Russian market. August will not remain aloof from this trend. This month it is expected to start sales in Russia of the electric e-tron S and e-tron S Sportback, as well as the "charged" RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback. The first 2 models are equipped with three electric motors, which together produce up to 503 hp. power and 973 N * m of torque. In this case, the standard electric crossover is equipped with only one motor, which is installed on the rear axle.

By default, the Audi e-tron S comes with a 95 kWh battery, which provides a range of 359 kilometers. The charged RS Q3 is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that has recently gone through a planned upgrade. Now its maximum output reaches 400 hp, and the torque is 480 N * m. Such a motor is combined with a 7-speed two-disc "robot" and all-wheel drive, which includes a multi-disc clutch.

Chery Tiggo 4 Pro

In August, the Russian market should be replenished with the updated Tiggo 4 Pro. Its pre-reform version has repeatedly become the best-selling Chinese crossover in our country during 2021. Chery Tiggo 4 Pro retained the previous 1.5-liter 147-horsepower supercharged engine, which is combined with a 6-speed preselective robotic gearbox.

Citroen C3 Aircross

The updated Citroen C3 Aircross will enter the Russian market six months after the premiere. Pre-sales of the crossover started in July, and deliveries of commercial samples of the model will begin in August. The restyled C3 Aircross is distinguished by a modified front end of the body, more comfortable front seats (they have increased cushion thickness) and updated multimedia. In Russia, the French model is offered with a 1.2-liter supercharged engine.

Geely atlas pro

Another model, the appearance of which in Russia was constantly postponed. Atlas Pro will enter the domestic market only with a hybrid installation, which is based on a 177-horsepower turbocharged engine with a volume of 1.5 liters. It is mated with a 48-volt starter-generator. By default, Atlas Pro is equipped with four-wheel drive that supports 4 modes of operation.

Volkswagen Passat Alltrack

The updated Passat Alltrack station wagon will arrive on the Russian market in August 2021. This model differs from the standard sedan only in the extended rear part of the body. Complete with the station wagon, they will offer 6, 5, 8 and 9, 2-inch touch monitors and many other options that provide a high level of comfort. Under the hood of the German model is a 2-liter turbo engine, which is combined with the previous 7-speed "robot".

Volkswagen teramont

Another novelty from the German brand, which will arrive in Russia in August. The restyled Teramont differs from its predecessor, in fact, only in a modified appearance and extended trim levels. Under the hood, the large crossover has a choice of 220- or 249-horsepower turbo engines.
