The French concern Renault is famous for its very original models, which are given a rather ambiguous assessment by motorists. The fact is that most of the brand's vehicles are in great demand, and some are significantly lagging behind in terms of sales. By the way, the latter includes a very interesting crossover Renault Koleos 2022. Due to low demand, this model is no longer sold in Russia. But the car is quite popular on the European market, including at home, in France. As for the main rivals, here we can highlight the Nissan X-Trail, Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage. The working volume of the diesel engine corresponds to 2.0 liters, and the output is equal to 185 hp. Here, the torque is stated at 380 N * m. A continuously variable variator is used as a transmission.

Renault Koleos 2022 is offered for choice to motorists in three main modifications, where there are differences in equipment and, of course, in price.

Zen

This is the basic modification of the crossover, the cost of which corresponds to 3.5 million rubles. In this version, the car is only available with a petrol engine. As for the equipment, there are:

This is the second most equipped crossover equipment. The price of Renault Koleos 2022 in this version starts at 3.77 million rubles. Here motorists can buy a car with both a gasoline engine and a diesel one. As for the optional equipment, the manufacturer offers sun visors in conjunction with built-in mirrors, electric seats and a heating function for the first row, adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera, a warning unit about dangerous proximity to another car. For an additional fee, motorists can install a Bose speaker system in the SUV.

Initiale paris

This is the top-end modification of the crossover, for which 4,028 million rubles will have to be paid. Here the manufacturer offers the equipment of the configurations discussed above, as well as a number of additional options. So, motorists have access to:

• first row seats with additional ventilation function;

As for Renault Koleos, everything is very good here. The manufacturer offers a package of airbags, including curtains, as well as many sensors and assistance systems for driving a vehicle. In 2017, the crossover underwent a crash test in accordance with EuroNCAP, where it received 5 stars. By the way, this is the maximum possible result. In terms of the protection of the driver and adult passenger, the final 90 percent were received, the passenger-child - 79 percent, the rest of the passengers - 62%. Handling and off-road performance

In terms of handling and off-road performance, Renault Koleos is not so simple. As for the first point, everything here is at the highest level. The crossover responds quickly and smoothly to steering. The car's agility is also good. True, all this applies to traffic in the city and on roads with a hard asphalt surface. The same cannot be said for trips to nature with serious obstacles. Of course, the crossover is able to overcome country roads, but it cannot cope with off-road conditions. Although the car's clearance is 187 mm, this is not enough to conquer such difficulties.

Advantages and disadvantages

Of course, the appearance can be attributed to the advantages of Renault Koleos. Here the crossover really has something to brag about. The car looks stylish and modern, with a recognizable design. The cabin also provides maximum comfort and convenience for all road users. In addition, it is worth noting a good level of equipment, where there is everything you need to drive a vehicle. The undoubted advantage of the crossover is the highest safety rating. This also includes fairly economical engines and a low percentage of carbon dioxide emissions into the environment.

As for the disadvantages of Renault Koleos, there are not many of them. In particular, these are rather low indicators of off-road characteristics, as well as the presence of a variator gearbox. The latter is quite demanding to use, and if improperly maintained, it will lead to very expensive repairs. In general, parts for a crossover do not differ in affordable prices, so it is worth monitoring the condition of the car, as well as abandoning recklessness on the roads.

Design

As mentioned above, Renault Koleos has a fairly recognizable appearance, where there are many branded design solutions. The first thing that catches your eye here is the stylish grille filled with horizontal slats. The head optics are designed in a very original way, in harmony with the general appearance of the car. The rest of the crossover received standard performance - a high seating position, rounded contours and protective linings in the lower part of the body. The wheel arches are made voluminous, which makes the crossover visually larger than it actually is.

By the way, everything inside the car is also top notch. The center console is designed not only modern and stylish, but also with hints of technology. The large display of the infotainment complex immediately catches the eye. Directly below it is the air conditioning control unit. Comfortable seating and interesting finishes complete the atmosphere of coziness and comfort.

Sales start

The crossover has been on the market for a long time. As for the current version of Renault Koleos, it was presented to the public in 2016. This modification went into serial production in 2017. Despite the rather long period, the model looks quite modern and stylish, making up worthy competition in the market. Unfortunately, car sales in Russia stopped last year, but there are still a lot of offers on the secondary market. Dealers also have several copies of the model on the remains, so those who wish may well purchase a vehicle. But the car is still available in France and other European countries.
