According to the plans of the Aston Martin management, the company will be able to sell up to 10 thousand copies of the DBX annually, which is quite a lot for such an expensive car. It is known that the British SUV is equipped with a 4-liter turbocharged engine, the maximum power of which reaches 542 hp. This engine was developed by Mercedes-AMG engineers. The first versions of the all-wheel drive Aston Martin DBX will be sold at a price of 12, 65 million rubles. Later, the British concern will release an SUV with a plug-in hybrid.

Ford Fiesta Ecoboost Hybrid

Ford could not ignore the rampant hybridization of the model range, which almost all manufacturers are engaged in. In April, the American concern is preparing to launch a new version of one of the best-selling hatchbacks in Europe, the Fiesta Ecoboost Hybrid. The car is equipped with a hybrid installation based on a proprietary liter turbo engine and a 48-volt on-board system with a starter-generator. According to representatives of Ford, the engine of this new car in 2020 is distinguished by the best performance at low revs. With the introduction of a starter generator, engineers have managed to fit a larger turbocharger under the hood of the compact hatchback, which increases the productivity of the car.

Kia Soul EV

Among the new crossovers for 2020, the Kia Soul EV deserves special attention. Last year, the Korean brand faced a huge number of orders for the e-Niro model, and therefore had to create a new electric SUV. For the Soul EV, the manufacturer has prepared the same technical part. From Niro, a 201-horsepower electric motor and battery have passed to the new crossover, providing a range of 451 kilometers. The initial version of the Korean model is estimated at 2, 7 million rubles.

Mercedes-Benz GLA

The Mercedes-Benz GLA continues the lineup of new cars of the year 2020 with a compact design, which are scheduled for release in April. The German novelty has already changed generations. The car switched to the platform from the A-Class hatchback, which made the appearance of the crossover simpler. At the same time, engineers have increased the size of the ground clearance. As part of the modernization, a large-scale work was carried out to improve comfort. The Mercedes-Benz GLA has been fitted with new state-of-the-art equipment, including 2 free-standing monitors, one of which acts as a dashboard.

In April, only 2 versions of the German crossover will be released. In the front-wheel-drive version, under the hood of the GLA is a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 161 hp. Mercedes-Benz has prepared a lot of new car products for 2020. One of them will be the compact 7-seater GLB crossover, which has been redesigned by engineers from the AMG division. Externally, the German model is similar to its standard modification. The difference between these versions of the crossover can be traced in the fact that the new one has a different aerodynamic body kit. In comparison with the standard GLB version, the new product has become more powerful by 87 hp, and its engine torque has increased by 50 N * m. Thanks to the changes made to the technical part, the German crossover develops the first 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds. The maximum speed of the vehicle is limited to 249 km / h.

Polestar 1

The former Volvo factory studio is finally launching its first series product on the world market. Polestar 1, like all subsequent models of the new Swedish brand, is equipped with electric motors and one internal combustion engine, which together produce up to 601 hp. useful power. This car will be released in limited edition. This decision of the developer is partly due to the fact that the Polestar 1 is an expensive coupe with premium equipment and a comfortable interior.

The built-in hybrid power plant is based on a 2-liter turbocharged engine, the maximum thrust of which reaches 1000 N * m. Thanks to these technical characteristics, Polestar 1 is able to develop the first 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds. The developers plan to release only 1,500 copies of the new coupe. Polestar 1 is estimated at 11, 2 million rubles.

Porsche 718 GTS

Porsche has decided to bring the 718 Cayman and Boxter GTS back to the global market. This version of the roadster is equipped with a naturally aspirated engine. The release of both models is largely due to the criticism faced by the named cars, equipped with a 6-cylinder turbocharged engine. Moreover, more often than not, dissatisfied words came from American motorists. And the US market for Porsche is one of the key ones. In this regard, the German concern decided to revise its views on the development of its own model range.

It is not yet known what type of engines the 718 GTS sports cars will receive. According to preliminary information, the cars will be equipped with a 4-liter engine, which previously appeared on the 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Boxter Spyder.

Seat leon

Another long-awaited auto novelty of 2020, which is scheduled for release in April. Leon is one of the most popular representatives of its segment in Europe. The updated version of the Spanish hatchback, as suggested by the leadership of Seat, will give a strong impetus to the development of the company. The top management of the brand relies on Leon, and not on the Ateca crossover. Seat's management had previously realized that this hatchback is capable of anchoring the brand at the very top of the global automotive industry. Therefore, it focused on the development of Leon.

The Spanish model is known to be built on the same platform as the eighth generation Volkswagen Golf. Both cars have a lot in common. At the same time, despite the statements made, Seat did not radically change its own model. Leon has kept many of the solutions implemented in the previous version of the car. VW is pursuing a similar strategy for the Golf. Both companies offer hatchbacks that have gone through deep (but not radical) redesigns.
