The past year was marked by the release of a whole series of budget crossovers from the Changan company, produced under the name Auchan. The small-sized model Auchan 3, which premiered in the spring of 2019, became the brand leader. The first cars began to arrive in the dealer network of car dealerships in July and immediately aroused significant interest among motorists. This is primarily due to the attractive appearance of the crossover and a pretty good package. The main advantage of the new model is its cost, thanks to which most motorists can buy an SUV. As a result, in the first three months since the start of sales, 1208 cars were sold. Depending on the version, Changan Ashan 3 of 2020 is available in five modifications at a price of 532,000 to 683,000 rubles.

Technical details
The compact crossover Changan Ashan 3 of 2020 in a new body is equipped with a single 1.5-liter "aspirated" with multipoint injection, producing a maximum output of 107 "horses". The power unit complies with the Euro-6 standard. Fuel consumption when driving around the city is 8.5 liters of AI-92 gasoline per 100 kilometers. When driving on the highway, consumption is 5.0 liters. In the combined cycle, this figure reaches 6.1 liters. A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-band "robot" with a double clutch can be installed on the car as a transmission. Each crossover configuration has a number of differences in technical characteristics. The car is equipped with front-wheel drive with independent suspension. All-wheel drive modifications are not provided by the manufacturer. This is due to the budgetary status of the model. For all 2020 Changan Auchan 3 cars, the manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty or 100,000 kilometers.

Design
Despite its budget status, Changan Auchan 3 has received such a modern and original look that it cannot be confused with any other representative of the crossover class. The main difference is the rather narrow radiator grill with the brand logo, which smoothly merges into the wedge-shaped headlights of the front optics. The massive front bumper looks light due to the large air intake and original L-shaped inserts. Above, a narrowed bonnet line with a well-defined relief stands out. Thanks to such unusual shapes, the front of the car looks stylish and aggressive.
From the side, attention is drawn to the clearly visible inclination of the front glass and the ascending line of the side windows, which characterizes the high aerodynamic properties of the model. At the same time, the almost complete absence of relief should be noted, as a result of which the crossover has a rather classic look and is devoid of any hint of the possibility of classifying the model as a sports car. Wheel arches, in combination with elements of a plastic body kit, look harmonious and do not weigh down the car's appearance.
As well as the front end, the rear of the car deserves the highest praise, thanks to the thoughtful design, original headlights and competent use of decorative elements. Even the emphatically massive tailgate gives additional confidence to the external appearance of Changan Auchan 3.
The interior design is a perfect example of when the budget status of a car can in no way affect the feeling of complete comfort. The combination of different colors in the decor elements makes the perception of the interior space easy, despite the rather classic forms of the front panel and the console of the crossover. The built-in touchscreen display of the multimedia complex provides convenient access to all the main functions of Changan Ashan 3 2020 release. It is worth noting the appearance of the air conditioning and ventilation control selectors, which, according to the manufacturer's idea, stand out against the general background of the classic interior design.
The front seats, equipped with headrests and side bolsters, are comfortable enough to make the ride a pleasure even on long journeys. The high seating position provides a good level of visibility from the passenger compartment. In the back row, it should be noted that there is almost complete absence of a protruding transmission tunnel and, as a result, there is a sufficient amount of free space to accommodate passengers.
Due to the shortened base, the luggage compartment cannot be attributed to the strengths of the crossover. However, with the rear seats folded down, it is quite suitable for transporting bulky goods.
Competitors
The compact crossover Changan Auchan 3 is of interest for its modern design, and its internal equipment provides the necessary level of comfort that all modern motorists value so much.
Combining these qualities and having an affordable price even in the top-end version, the car is able to compete with such popular models of well-known world brands as:

- Renault Duster;
- Ford Kuga.
