Lada Granta remains the most popular car on the Russian market. And AvtoVAZ strives to keep this title for this model. For this, the manufacturer has prepared a new configuration, which made Grant more affordable.
So, the Classic Light version entered the market, which is estimated at 503, 9 thousand rubles. The car in this version retained the former naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine, which has recently undergone a planned modernization and has become more reliable and more powerful. By default, Granta in the new Classic Light version is equipped with a factory radio. At the same time, the car lost its air conditioner and the ERA-GLONASS system. Moreover, consumers will have to buy the latter, since without it, it is forbidden to operate cars in Russia.
Despite the release of a new, cheaper configuration, prices for some versions of Lada Granta jumped up sharply. This is largely due to the deficit experienced by all Russian dealers of AvtoVAZ. As a result, the lack of cars in warehouses has led to the fact that some versions of Lada Granta now cost more than a million rubles.
Let us remind you that due to the lack of components, AvtoVAZ has already suspended production at the automobile plant in Togliatti. Moreover, the situation is not expected to improve in the coming weeks. According to the published information, during September AvtoVAZ will also continue to supply Grant in limited quantities.
Pickup based grants
But the deficit of components, apparently, is not experienced by the VIS-Auto company, which is part of the Togliatti automobile plant. She recently introduced a semi-frame pickup based on the current version of the Lada Granta. The novelty differs from its prototype with the wheelbase increased to 3100 mm, which made it possible to install a cargo platform at the rear. A 1.8-liter 117-horsepower engine is supplied with the Granta-based pickup, which has also undergone a number of changes. This novelty is complemented by gas equipment.
The company "VIS-Auto" has not yet made any statements about the possible serial production of the pickup. At the same time, in the near future, its engineers intend to present a similar version of the Granta with a carrying capacity increased to 1,500 kilograms.
