The release of the new Skoda Fabia poses serious problems for the 2020 Opel Corsa. But the latest model can offer its customers quite interesting solutions. In particular, the Corsa is equipped with three gasoline engines, 2 of which are supercharged, and one turbodiesel. Together with these units, there are mechanical and automatic transmissions. In addition, the Corsa is also equipped with an electric motor, which is not yet available for the Skoda Fabia. As a standard, the German hatchback is equipped with a collision avoidance system with a full stop function, an on-board computer, a Start / Stop option and other equipment. For a surcharge, customers are offered improved acoustics, climate control, sports body kit and LED optics placed in a circle.
Options and prices
The 2020 Opel Corsa is produced in a new body, thanks to which the outwardly German hatchback, even in the photo, differs markedly from its predecessor. But as part of the latest modernization, the manufacturer mainly focused on improving the design of the car, in connection with which the configuration and prices have remained practically the same. Perhaps the main changes concerned the technical characteristics of the German model, since an electric motor was prepared for it.
Starting equipment
The starting equipment for the 2020 Opel Corsa bears the same name as the German hatchback. This version of the car is estimated at about 963.7 thousand rubles. For this amount, you can buy a hatchback equipped with:
- seats with fabric trim;
- rims 15 inches;
- sensors for monitoring the pressure in the wheels;
- an assistant when starting up the hill;
- collision avoidance system with pedestrian recognition function;
- equipment capable of completely stopping the car at speeds up to 30 km / h;
- distance control system to the vehicle in front;
- speed control and road sign recognition systems.
The manufacturer included LED DRLs, an audio system with a radio, air conditioning and a lane keeping system in the starting equipment. In versions with a diesel engine, a cabin heater is also provided. The Opel Corsa safety complex consists of:
- 6 airbags;
- systems to prevent blocking of brakes and wheel slip;
- system of electronic redistribution of braking force;
- vehicle stabilization system;
- active pedestrian safety system;
- driver status control indicator with sound notification.
By default, the Opel Corsa has several compact storage compartments. In the starting configuration, you can also find the Start / Stop system, which comes with all motors (with the exception of the electric motor), electrically adjustable heated outside mirrors, an active air intake in the radiator grille, 3.5-inch on-board computer display, electric power steering and front electric windows …
Edition
For 1.09 million rubles, the 2020 Opel Corsa is offered in the Edition version, in which 15-inch aluminum rims appear (16-inch for the diesel version) and climatic equipment.
Elegance
For 1.24 million rubles, a German hatchback with a 7-inch display is available, which replaces the standard instrument panel. This modification provides a sports multifunctional steering wheel with a sloped bottom and leather sheathing, rear power windows and seats, finished with combined materials. In addition, all LED optics are found in this configuration.
GS Line
The top version of the Opel Corsa in 2020 costs 1.38 million rubles. This amount includes sports front seats and a body kit. Also in the top version there are new rims and tailpipes with chrome trim.

Specifications
The basis of the German model is the PSA CMP platform, on the basis of which the modern Peugeot 208 is created. The Opel Corsa is offered with four engines and one electric motor.
The base is considered a 1.2-liter "atmospheric" unit, whose maximum output is 75 hp, and the torque reaches 118 N * m. For a surcharge, an engine of the same volume, complemented by a turbocharger, is available. Moreover, this motor is available in two modifications. The "younger" version of the engine develops up to 100 hp. useful power and 205 N * m of thrust, "senior" - 130 hp. and 230 N * m, respectively.
The top-end is a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine. Its maximum power reaches 102 hp, the thrust level does not exceed 250 N * m. The starting motor is combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the diesel and initial turbocharged one is combined with a 6-speed gearbox. In addition to the "aspirated", the rest of the units are also equipped with an 8-speed "automatic".
Average fuel consumption varies widely. But the diesel version of the Corsa consumes about 4 liters of fuel. The German hatchback, equipped with a 130-horsepower turbo engine, develops the first 100 km / h in 8, 7 seconds.
In addition to these Corsa units, an electric motor is also available, which produces no more than 75 hp. power and 118 N * m of thrust.

Design
After the modernization, the Opel Corsa acquired a more sporty look, which is emphasized by the "littered" front pillars, the raised stern, aggressive head optics with a LED DRL strip laid at the bottom and a bumper with a large air intake, on the sides of which there are original compartments for fog lights. At the same time, the radiator grill is distinguished by its compact dimensions.
At the stern, the overall appearance is complemented by a large wing protruding far above the roof. The luggage door protrudes towards the rear in the center, which also has a positive effect on aerodynamic performance. The bumper at the stern is complemented by fog lamps that are set to resemble diffusers from a distance.
The salon is simple and functional in German. The interior space is dominated by a 10-inch wide touchscreen monitor (available in top-end hatchback versions). And the control units for the audio system and climate are compact. The automatic transmission knob looks quite unusual, which outwardly resembles those that are installed on premium sedans. In addition, the interior is adorned with contrasting inserts along the dashboard, door cards and seats.

Start of sales
An updated version of the Opel Corsa, including its electrified version, is now available on the European market. The manufacturer has not reported anything about the likelihood of this model returning to Russia.
