With the release of the new version of the Ioniq for the American market, this hybrid installation has not undergone significant changes. It is paired with an 8.9 kilowatt battery that provides a range of 47 kilometers. Of greater interest is the all-electric version of the Ioniq Electric. The Korean hatchback will receive a power unit and a battery of increased power and capacity, respectively. Previously, the car was equipped with a 28-kilowatt battery. Its new version provides for a 33.3 kW battery. Thanks to this, the electrified Ioniq can travel up to 274 kilometers without recharging, while, like in the previous hatchback modification, this figure was 200 kilometers.

The maximum output that the installed electric motor is capable of developing has increased from 118 to 134 hp. Despite these changes, the new Ioniq Electric has maintained a relatively low price tag. According to this parameter, the Korean hatchback has remained one of the most affordable electric cars in its class.
