The Daimler concern together with BYD have created a new 7-seater Denza X crossover, which will be produced in two versions: with an electric motor and a hybrid power plant. Car prices start at 2.64 million rubles. The Chinese novelty is made in the image of modern models of the Mercedes-Benz brand. However, this only applies to the interior design.
Body panels, head and rear optics, both bumpers of Denza X are completely new. This is partly due to the fact that the car is based on the BYD Tang platform. The similarities with Mercedes-Benz models can be traced in the cabin, where air vents are located, which outwardly resemble the nozzles of turbojet aircraft. Also, from the German cars, the Chinese novelty got expensive finishing materials, made in light and "warm" colors.
One of the main features of the Denza X is that a large display is located in the interior of the crossover, which can be installed both horizontally and vertically. By default, all versions of the Chinese model use a virtual instrument panel. Physical keys are located only on the steering wheel and transmission tunnel. The Denza X safety complex consists of lane keeping systems, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian recognition and others. Also, the car is available with all-round cameras that display a 3D image on the central monitor.
The electric version of the Denza X is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions. In the first case, the car is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 245 hp. and a thrust of 330 N * m. All-wheel drive versions are combined with a 489-horsepower motor that produces up to 660 N * m of torque. Under the floor, the Chinese model has a battery with a capacity of 82.8 kW / h, which provides a power reserve of 520 kilometers.
The hybrid version of the Denza X is based on a 2-liter internal combustion engine and two electric motors located on the front and rear axles. The first develops no more than 150 hp. useful power, the second - 245 hp. Taken together, the hybrid unit produces up to 586 hp. and 960 N * m. This equipment provides acceleration to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. A 20-kilowatt battery allows you to drive about 81 km without recharging.
