In recent years, analysts have recorded an increased demand for models of the SUV segment, which forced most automakers to reconsider their concept of their own development. Thus, the companies strive to present stylish and modern crossovers that are distinguished not only by their attractive appearance, but also by rich equipment. Of course, Chinese brands succeed in this. At the beginning of this year, a completely new crossover FAV T55 2022 was presented to the public. The car is available so far only in the Chinese market in two versions, the price of which ranges from 1.19 to 1.28 million rubles. The main competitors of the model include Skoda Kodiaq, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson and Toyota RAV4. The crossover has a completely recognizable appearance, where many interesting and original solutions are presented. The salon is distinguished by a modern and functional design, providing comfort and convenience for the driver and passengers.

FAV T55 2022 went on sale this year in a completely new body. The model, as mentioned above, is offered to buyers in two trim levels, which differ not only in price, but also in equipment. In addition, the technical characteristics of the crossover are at a quite decent level. The car also received a modern design, which can be found in the photos presented in this article.

Of course, the technical part is of greater interest to the motorist, which in this case does not offer a choice. A turbocharged engine is installed under the hood of the crossover, the working volume of which corresponds to 1.5 liters. The power of the unit reaches 169 horsepower, and the torque does not exceed 258 N * m. It combines the motor with a 7-speed dual-clutch robotized gearbox and front-wheel drive technology. The fuel consumption of the model is declared at the level of 6, 6 liters for every 100 km of track. The maximum speed that the car can reach is 190 km / h.

As for the dimensions, the crossover boasts average performance. Thus, the length of the car is 4 437 mm, the width is 1 850 mm, the height is 1 625 mm, and the wheelbase does not exceed 2 650 mm. The SUV weighs 1,485 kg. It is worth noting that FAW Besturn T55 is more adapted for city use, which is confirmed by a rather "modest" ground clearance of 170 mm. But the luggage compartment of the crossover can accommodate up to 400 liters of cargo. By the way, with the rear seats unfolded, this figure can be increased threefold.

As mentioned above, FAW Bestune T55 2022 is available to customers in two modifications that have a common power unit. But in the equipment of each version there are some differences.

FAW Besturn T55 2022 provides a certain amount of safety for all road users. For this, the crossover has a set of special systems and sensors. The latter include technologies such as traction control (TCS) and stability control (ESP), an anti-lock braking system module (ABS) with brake force distribution (EBD), and a Brake Assist unit. In addition, there are several airbags in the cabin, and for transporting children, special fasteners are provided for fixing the seat. Handling and off-road performance

As for the handling of the FAV T55 2022, there are no particular complaints. The car is quite "obedient" in the hands of the driver - the steering column is harmonious in alliance with the suspension and other components. True, there is no need to talk about impressive dynamic performance. The crossover is more designed for urban conditions than off-road. Advantages and disadvantages

It is still quite difficult to assess the advantages of FAW Besturn T55 over its main rivals, since the car is sold only in the Chinese market. Nevertheless, even now it is possible to highlight some parameters that distinguish the crossover in the general flow. The first thing that I would like to note is the rather striking appearance of the vehicle. The SUV received a very effective design. It is also worth highlighting the functional and practical interior, which has everything you need for comfortable control. In addition, the crossover boasts a fairly affordable price tag even in the top-end version, where a very wide range of options is available to motorists. By the way, vehicle maintenance is also distinguished by a budget indicator. In particular, representatives of the company say that a scheduled technical inspection will cost 5,000-10,000 rubles. True, this is so far only relevant for China, while in other countries the amount of maintenance may increase.

A clear advantage of FAW Besturn T55 can be considered the fact that here AI-92 gasoline can be used as fuel, which has a more attractive price tag in comparison with AI-95. On the other hand, the crossover has a number of unpleasant moments. So, the car has a fairly average performance, so there is no need to talk about the drive. Also, the SUV is poorly adapted for driving on country-type roads with the presence of serious off-road conditions, since its ground clearance is only 170 mm and there is no all-wheel drive system. Therefore, when going into nature, it is worthwhile to first get acquainted with the road conditions.

Design

Undoubtedly, the appearance of the FAW Besturn T55 outperforms its main rivals in many ways. The crossover stands out favorably in the general flow of vehicles, attracting the eye with a bright and unusual design. The first thing that catches the eye of this car is the front bumper, which houses a massive grille and original head optics. The latter received a corporate style of performance, reminiscent of "fangs". All this gives the look some aggression. The radiator grill has a 3D filling, which gives volume to the bumper. In general, the crossover looks massive, although it has a fairly compact size. By the way, the rear part also turned out to be rather large, in harmony with the overall appearance.

As for the interior, the crossover also has something to brag about. True, there is no need to talk about luxury in this case - after all, the price is a fundamental factor. However, the manufacturer has provided comfort, safety and convenience for both driver and passengers. The center console is designed in a standard way - a digital dashboard, an infotainment complex with a wide monitor, climate control vents, etc. The transmission tunnel also received the usual design - a gearshift lever, several keys for selecting the driving modes, a compartment for storing small items, etc. In general, the trim of the seats and other interior details is made with high quality and practical, but no frills.

Sales start

As mentioned above, the car is still sold only on the Chinese market. Deliveries of the crossover to dealerships started this spring, but we can already say that the model is a success. True, it remains unclear whether FAW Besturn T55 will appear in the near future in other countries, since company representatives do not provide this information.
