Chinese manufacturers are increasingly pressing on the Russian automotive market, and this is not surprising, since affordable models with state-of-the-art equipment and good looks are in special demand in Russia. Among these, you can single out the Dong Feng 580 2022 crossover, which is sold on the domestic market in one Comfort configuration for 1,190,000 rubles. For this money, a potential buyer gets a rich car in terms of equipment, which is not inferior to such famous models as Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4, at least in basic configurations.
Specifications
When you look at the car Dong Feng 580 2022, which is sold in Russia in a new body in the first generation, in a restyled version, it is hard to believe that this cross is worth a little more than one million rubles. The model simply leaves no lot for many "classmates" at its cost, even though there is only one complete set. The appearance of the car also turned out to be not the most advanced, but nevertheless, for its money it exceeds basic expectations (you can evaluate the design of the car from the photo in the article). And of course, one cannot ignore the technical characteristics, which are comparable to many "classmates".
In the current version, the Chinese crossover is sold with one single engine. We are talking about a 1.8-liter gasoline "aspirated" 132 hp. and 176 N * m of torque. The power unit is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission, which transmits all the torque to the front wheel axle. The "Chinese" has the following dimensions:

- wheelbase - 2 780 mm;
- clearance - 200 mm;
- curb weight - 1,535 kg.
It is worth noting that we are talking about a five-door cross with a spacious seven-seater interior and a capacious trunk of 375 liters. Also, this model is equipped with a voluminous fuel tank of 58 liters, which provides a good power reserve with an average consumption of 7, 6 liters (AI-92 gasoline is used). In all respects, the cross-country vehicle meets the requirements of the Euro-5 environmental standard and has a standard maximum speed for its class of 180 km / h.

The key feature of this Chinese model is the affordable price tag. Most car enthusiasts are delighted when they see the Dong Feng 580 2022 car itself and learn about its technical equipment. You can buy such a car for 1,190,000 rubles in the only Comfort configuration.

Despite the attractive cost, the crossover can in no way be called a car that is poor in terms of technical equipment, since the manufacturer has provided such options for this generation as:

Safety
It's no secret that a modern car must necessarily comply with all safety requirements, otherwise it will not be able to guarantee the driver and his companions safety as a result of a road accident, the number of which is growing on an ongoing basis. If we take into account this "Chinese", then here it is quite possible to single out what could be admired.
Despite its budgetary cost, the cross has good equipment, which includes two airbags, three-point belts with tensioners and clamps, a certain set of electronic assistants, ISOFIX child seat mountings, and the ERA-GLONASS system. It should also be mentioned that this car did a good job in crash tests. For example, according to the results of the C-NCAP test, the cross was able to score indicators corresponding to a rating of five stars.
Handling and off-road performance
While the Dongfeng 580 2022 SUV has an impressive 200mm ground clearance, this is another urban model, not an SUV focused on off-roading and dealing with serious obstacles in its path. The maximum that the cross is capable of is periodic outings for outdoor activities with riding over rough terrain and dirt roads.
In general, the car has good handling and excellent maneuverability, despite the impressive weight and impressive dimensions. It is not so easy to determine at first glance whether the model deserves attention, because of what, here it is necessary to highlight the main advantages of the Chinese crossover. These include the following points:

- affordable service.
Also, do not overlook certain disadvantages of this car. In particular, we can highlight the very mediocre dynamics, the absence of all-wheel drive variations and a meager set of trim levels for the Russian market.
Design
To a certain extent, the Chinese crossover Dongfeng 580 2022 can boast of a completely acceptable and modern appearance (similar words can also be said about the arrangement of the cabin). Of course, the exterior of this model does not shine with newfangled design solutions, however, it is safe to say that the crossover looks impressive and attractive, despite the fact that many points were clearly copied from other automakers. The interior of that car looks painfully recognizable, for the simple reason that many of the points were borrowed from Volkswagen cars. Here the practicality and competent layout of the main controls impresses.
Sales start
In the current version, the car was released a long time ago, however, it was only able to reach the Russian automotive market in 2019, when the official premiere of the model for Russia took place. And later in August, the sale of a car in the first generation in a restyled version began.

Crossovers of this class are popular, however, almost no one offers seven-seat models. The direct competitors of the Chinese include:
