Sales of cars from the Middle Kingdom on the territory of Russia are increasing every month. And this despite the not very simple situation and the general recession demonstrated by the entire industry. So, for the first time in the entire time of sales on the Russian market, a representative of the Chinese car industry entered the TOP-10 of the most popular cars. It turned out to be the Haval brand with its F7 crossover. However, by the end of this year, several more models from the Middle Kingdom, which have already earned recognition in their homeland, should come to the Russian market. And this means that in Russia they will well be able to claim the title of market leaders. Domestic experts have prepared a list of the TOP-5 of the most interesting and promising "Chinese" who should debut on the territory of the Russian Federation in the near future.
5th place. Haval Big Dog (B06 Dagou)
The fifth position on the list is occupied by the utility SUV Haval B06 DAGOU, also known as the Big Dog. The model is positioned as an alternative to the outdated H5 and stands out primarily due to its brutal and stylish appearance with a mass of angular elements, as well as rounded head optics. The new car with a monocoque body received a transverse arrangement of the engine, as well as the usual chassis design with MacPherson struts and a multi-link design. The length of the SUV is 4620 mm, and the ground clearance is 200 mm.
The technical part of the SUV is represented by a 1.5-liter turbo engine, the output of which is 169 horsepower. It works in tandem with a 7-speed "robot". The leading drive in all variations is exclusively front-wheel drive. The cost of this car in the Chinese market ranges from 1.4 to 1.67 million rubles in equivalent.
4th place. CheryExeed VX
In fourth place, experts placed the CheryExeed VX crossover, produced by the premium sub-brand of the Chinese Chery. This model is the flagship model for the automaker and will be positioned as one of the main rivals of KIA Mohave and Toyota Highlander. The body length of the VX reaches almost five meters, which allowed the manufacturer to produce it in a three-row design. This premium is built on the Land Rover platform, which gives the model an excellent level of equipment and impressive performance. What the power indicators of the Russian version of the cross will turn out to be is not yet known. But in China, it is available with 1, 6 and 2-liter turbo engines, working in conjunction with a robotic gearbox for 7 gears. The leading drive can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The exterior of Exeed VX is memorable and allows the car to stand out from the background of the bulk of cars moving on the road. Well, the level of equipment corresponds to the most expensive representatives of the SUV segment. The crossover is equipped with a panoramic roof with a sunroof, various driver's assistants, two large multimedia displays and digital "tidy", combined under a common glass, transmission shift keys and a touch panel for climate control adjustments. The price for the basic modification of the Chinese premium on the home market starts at 2.2 million rubles.
3rd place. Changan UNI-K
Changan UNI-K closes the top three of the most anticipated market novelties, which barely went on sale at home. This cross is the most modern and stylish novelty of the brand. It has a memorable appearance, and is regarded by many experts as one of the main rivals of the German BMW X3. At the same time, the cost of Changan UNI-K on the home market is at the level of 1, 8-2, 2 million rubles. One of the main and most unusual solutions that the cross received from its designers is a large frameless radiator grill. Also, the crossover stern, made in the style of modern Lexus models, looks very interesting.
The interior of the new SUV from Changan is also very original. The display of its digital instrument panel is shifted deep enough inward, almost close to the windshield. A large 12.3-inch touchscreen for multimedia controls is installed at the very top of the console. Under it, in the form of a narrow touch strip, there are built-in climate control buttons. On the territory of China, the cross is equipped with a 2-liter turbo engine, working in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission and full or front-wheel drive.
2nd place. WEY Tank (P01)
In the second position of the compiled TOP rating is the P01 SUV, also known as Tank. Launched by Great Wall in 2016 as a premium car brand, WEY has previously specialized exclusively in stylish crossovers. Now he has presented an SUV, decorated in the original retro style, with angular body shapes and round headlights, which gave reason to talk about its similarity with the recently revived Ford Bronco.
The interior of the SUV is quite utilitarian. It is equipped with a unit that combines two displays - a dashboard and a multimedia system. Rounded air duct deflectors, as well as a handrail for the passenger, fixed on the front panel, look very original here. In general, in the layout and performance of the SUV's interior, you can find a lot in common with the German Gelendwagen. The dimensions of the WEY Tank are comparable to the domestic UAZ Patriot. The dimensions of the body are 4760x1930x1927 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2750 mm. What the "Chinese" is superior to the Russian SUV is in the level of ground clearance, which for it is 224 mm.
A 2-liter turbo engine is installed under the hood of the frame SUV, the power output of which is 227 "horses". This engine works exclusively in tandem with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The price of this model on the Chinese car market ranges from 2 to 2.5 million rubles, but what the Russian price tag for the Tank 300 will be is still unknown.
1st place. Geely atlas pro
Well, analysts placed Geely Atlas Pro among the leaders of the conditional TOP of the most expected crossovers and SUVs from China. The classic SUV has been known on the Russian market since 2016. For the entire time of its presence, the car has established itself from the very best side, demonstrating a very decent quality both in terms of assembly and its capabilities, and, at the same time, having a very affordable price. That is why the updated version of the crossover, which debuted in 2019 and received the Pro prefix, is expected by Russian motorists with great impatience. The changes that have occurred with the SUV have affected both the exterior and interior decoration. In comparison with the previous version, the cross received a more stylish body close to the compartment version.
The interior of the crossover was equipped with a new instrument panel, a D-shaped steering wheel, an improved display for controlling the multimedia system and a different tunnel design. The manufacturer and the car's security system have been significantly improved, thanks to which passengers can feel even more protected during the trip. In comparison with the model of the previous generation, the cross "grew" in size. The dimensions of its body are 4544x1831x1713 mm, and the center distance is 2670 mm.
The technical capabilities of the SUV in the Russian market will be determined by the 1.5-liter turbo engine from Volvo, which produces 177 horsepower. Its undoubted advantage is its adaptation to refueling with AI-92 gasoline. Another engine option is a 1.8-liter internal combustion engine with a turbine. For these units, as available transmissions, you can use a 6-speed "mechanics", an "automatic" box with the same number of gears, or a 7-speed "robot". The price for the cross on the territory of the Russian Federation has not yet been announced. In China, it can be purchased for 1, 2-1, 63 million rubles in equivalent.
