As practice shows, a large number of road accidents involving pedestrians occur due to the inattention of the latter. That is why the State Traffic Inspectorate decided to remind citizens that it is important to be vigilant when driving along a pedestrian crossing. Of course, if the driver does not let the pedestrian pass, he is subject to administrative responsibility, namely a fine of 2,500 rubles.

It is important to take into account that it is not always at this moment that the traffic police crew is nearby, which could punish the offender. Moreover, against this background, the police often act unlawfully. That is why drivers occasionally neglect the priority of the man on the zebra crossing. It is important to remind here that a road traffic accident involving a car and a pedestrian may well end in tragedy.
For this reason, Russians were once again urged to take off their headphones and distract themselves from smartphones when crossing a pedestrian crossing. Moreover, it is better to remove the hood at this moment, so that there is a sufficient view of the roadway. And of course, before you step on the zebra, you definitely need to look around. It is important to remember here that at the moment of crossing a multi-lane road, a pedestrian is immediately noticed by the driver who is moving closer to him, and his colleague, moving in the next lane, may not react.

Also, do not forget that for this kind of administrative offenses, punishment is provided not only for drivers, but also for pedestrians. For example, if a citizen crosses the road in the wrong place, then the traffic police inspector will have the right to write out a protocol. The fine for this kind of offense is 1,500 rubles. Of course, the warnings and monetary penalties do not scare Russians so much. That is why the State Traffic Inspectorate reminded that, crossing the road without proper attention, a person puts his life on the line.
