The official press service of Toyota has posted a video comparing the characteristics of its own SUV 4Runner, as well as the recent debut of the market, which caused a real sensation, the American Ford Bronco. Apparently, this video was intended to present the Japanese model in a favorable light. However, in fact, everything turned out exactly the opposite.
In the video, which was posted on the American YouTube channel, Toyota, representatives of the company planned to show why their off-road car is so good and what its main advantages are in comparison with the revived Ford Bronco. However, in fact, in every point it is clear that the American representative is not inferior or superior to the "Japanese". In general, it is very difficult to compare these two models.

The first thing that is compared is the off-road characteristics of the two cars. Here, the "Japanese" is probably inferior to the Bronco, since it is available exclusively in one configuration. In addition, the Toyota 4Runner is a rather outdated car, since its fifth generation, despite the recent restyling, was introduced back in 2010. At the same time, the Japanese model has the ability to pair mobile devices with a multimedia system, which somewhat smoothes this disadvantage.
One of the main characteristics that indicate a significant lag behind the Bronco 4Runner are the power parameters of the two models. The Japanese SUV is equipped with a 4-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 270 "horses". A pair of him is a 5-speed "automatic".
At the same time, the comparable Ford Bronco is available with turbocharged engines and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Almost the only parameter in which the Bronco is inferior to the 4Runner is ground clearance. For the Japanese model, its value is 24, 38 cm, but the "American" received only 21, 34 cm.
