The GAZ company announced the start of sales of the new GAZelle NN on the Russian market. At the same time, the manufacturer began to accept pre-orders for the car in mid-June.
Prices for the onboard version of GAZelle NN start at 1.9 million rubles. As a standard, the Russian novelty is equipped with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine, the maximum output of which is limited to 150 hp. This motor is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. Later, a commercial vehicle with a 3-liter "aspirated" engine developing no more than 122 hp will go on sale. useful power. This unit will be installed on 2 different versions of the GAZelle, including those with gas equipment.
It is stated that if there is sufficient demand, a commercial vehicle will also receive a 170-horsepower version of a turbodiesel that meets the Euro 6 environmental standard. GAZelle with this unit is currently being sold on the Turkish market. Also, the GAZ company is considering the possibility of starting the assembly of a car with an automatic transmission. But the final decision on this issue has not yet been made.
Recall that as part of the planned modernization, engineers redesigned the exterior of the GAZelle, improving its appearance. But more noticeable changes have occurred in the list of available equipment. So, the car has acquired a sprung driver's seat, which can be adjusted in 11 positions. Together with the novelty, a multimedia complex is available, which includes a stereo system and a 9-inch touch screen. For a surcharge, a commercial vehicle is equipped with an electronic parking brake and an engine start button.
For safety in the Russian novelty, there are systems for anti-lock brakes, prevention of blocking, assistance when starting to move on an uphill and control of directional stability. In addition, GAZelle was equipped with disc brakes, which are installed on all wheels.
