Brilliance has launched a new generation of the Xinka S5 compact truck. As part of the modernization, Chinese engineers have made changes to the configuration of this model in order to increase the carrying capacity.
To do this, they increased the size of the load-bearing girder and redesigned the loading platform. Engineers also redesigned the cab to improve its resistance to stress. In addition, the rear axle has been reinforced. Now it can take loads up to 2.5 tons. After the modernization, the dimensions of the cargo platform reached 3, 2x2, 55x1, 68 m, which is a record for the class of cars in which the Brilliance Xinka S5 is presented.
The Chinese model received a new Diamond series engine after a generational change. It is stated that its power and torque have been increased compared to the pre-reform truck. At the same time, the manufacturer has not yet published the technical characteristics of the Xinka S5. But it is known that the built-in engine consumes on average up to 6.4 liters of fuel, which is also a record for this class. Moreover, this indicator was obtained in the course of an independent study.
After the modernization, the Xinka S5 had an enlarged cabin. Its width is now 1680 mm, which makes it more comfortable to sit on the driver's and passenger's seats. A 7-inch touchscreen monitor is offered along with the truck. In addition, the Chinese model is equipped with air conditioning, navigation, remote control key for central locking, stabilization system, fog lights and other options. The prices for the new product have not yet been announced. This truck will be sold only in the Chinese market.
