Mercedes-Benz, following its direct competitors DAF and Scania, has modernized its semitrailer tractor by presenting the updated Actros-L. The car retains its familiar exterior with a shield-shaped grille and LED headlights. Mercedes-Benz, as part of the latest modernization, has focused mainly on changes inside. At the same time, LED width indicators appeared on the outside of the cab, which allow other drivers to determine the dimensions of the tractor at night.

It is reported that German engineers have optimized the position of the driver's seat for greater comfort. This seat is complemented by lumbar support, electric heating, ventilation and heat dissipation. As standard, the tractor is equipped with a four-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Optionally, it can be supplemented with electric heating. On the steering wheel there are buttons for starting the cruise control and controlling the stereo system.

The German novelty is equipped by default with a digital instrument panel, which can be found in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Next to it, the manufacturer placed a 12-inch touchscreen monitor, under which there are buttons for starting the electronic parking brake and other equipment. Complete with the tractor, a platform for wireless charging is offered, which is placed behind the touchscreen. Behind the driver's seat there is a full-fledged berth 800 mm wide and 200 mm thick.

Also as standard, the new Actros-L is now equipped with a reversing camera that streams video to the touchscreen. It is complemented by heating and a tilt correction function. In addition, the tractor received a system capable of stopping the movement of the car in the event of a cyclist entering the "blind" zone. It works at speeds up to 20 km / h.

In addition, the new Actros-L has been equipped with a second-level autonomous control system. Under certain conditions, it is able to park the tractor and brake sharply if the driver does not have time to react to the danger. The German model is powered by a 12, 3-liter engine that produces up to 530 hp. net power and 2600 N * m tractive torque. It is accompanied by a 12-speed automatic transmission with two reverse speeds.
