The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has already announced huge changes in the range of modifications, which it will present in the coming year. The most striking novelties will be the fresh versions of the Profi truck. The models will have a high load capacity. The designers managed to achieve outstanding performance thanks to the advent of the dual-slope rear axle busbar. In other words, the novelty will acquire twin rear wheels. This became known after an official meeting between the head of UAZ and the governor of the Ulyanovsk region.

Recall that the current model of the sold Profi allows you to raise 1.5 tons, according to the technical documentation. At the moment, the truck has only one row of rear wheels. In fact, it turns out that such a load almost destroys the car - the rear axle sags noticeably, so the car can move with great difficulty. The appearance of a second pair of wheels will solve the problem. Probably due to their appearance, the designers provided for the strengthening of the frame and revised the suspension.

At the official request of the well-known portal Drom.ru, it became known that the gable structure was originally planned by the management for release a few years ago. Thus, the expansion of the line can be considered a planned event. It was expected that the drive axle will be borrowed from Ford Transit, the manufacturer of which actively cooperates with UAZ Sollers. As a result, most experts are inclined to believe that the UAZ team managed to revive the idea and develop a new model based on the Transit bridge. This version is supported by the active introduction of American van components into some models produced by the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. Vadim Shvetsov, who is currently the head of the holding, said in an interview with Kommersant about a month ago that a US engine would be installed on a new modification of the UAZ Patriot. Later it became known that it was a turbocharged diesel unit of 2.2 liters, which will also be supplied for the domestic assembly of the Ford Transit.

Such modifications allow truck fans to hope for the appearance of a "heavy" version of the Pro, which will be able to move around adequately after a two-ton load. Probably, the car will be produced exclusively with rear-wheel drive. Recall that the current model can be bought with all drive wheels, under the hood of which there is a 2.7-liter ZMZ with 149 hp. and 5MKPP.
