The car itself received only minor cosmetic improvements, which were designed to refresh the appearance of the model. In addition, the developers had to slightly modernize the technical part of the car, lowering the suspension and installing a more powerful power unit.
This version of the Ford Mustang was created with the direct participation of Carl Shelby. For Americans, this car is a symbol of freedom and a source of pride for the country. In addition, a similar model was in the game itself. Two Mustangs took part in the film at once. One was used for shooting close-ups, the second was used in episodes with races and was specially equipped with a large number of cameras. This made it possible to obtain realistic dynamic footage.
Design
Externally, the car looked really impressive, in keeping with the spirit of American sports cars. The developers have redesigned the front bumper, which has integrated three huge air intakes. A wide apron completes the design at the bottom. Everything gave the car additional aggressiveness. Two wide air intakes were also installed on the hood, which, in addition to the decorative function, were necessary to cool the power unit. Fog lights have received the shape of "angel eyes".
Additional sections of side lights with LED filling have appeared in the massive radiator grille. Their main function is to illuminate the ventilation openings. The rear-view mirrors were replaced with cameras, and 22-inch wheels of the original design were installed in the inflated wheel arches. The wings have also been extended further. At the rear, a new diffuser was added to the bumper, special holes were made in front of the rear fenders, and the side windows closer to the stern were replaced with air pockets.
The interior of the American sports car also received minor changes. Here they installed completely new sports seats with pronounced lateral support. Recaro was responsible for the manufacture of the seats. The usual gear shift knob has also been replaced with a Ford Racing series lever.
