The auto-maniacs decided to correct this defect. A group of Texas enthusiasts who founded the European Auto Group were able to create a unique upgrade to equip the Supra with mechanics.
For the tuning, original BMW parts were used. In fact, the choice of a component manufacturer is not surprising. The fact is that the Supra is based on a German engine, and the platform is completely "arrived" from Munich.
It is interesting that, unlike factory assemblies with an automatic transmission, the version with a manual transmission will cost more, despite the simplification of the transmission system. The creators are asking for a lot of money for replacing the "classic" - $ 12,000. This amount includes both details and work. To carry out the "transfer" will have to wait at least 30 days, since spare parts must be ordered directly from Germany. The prospective owner of the unique car is required to pay a $ 6,000 deposit to get in line.
In addition to replacing the transmission, the price includes a power upgrade kit from Canada. As a result, together with the chip-tuning from ProTuning Freaks, the output of the sports car engine will be 340-430 hp.
Recall that this is not the first time the Supra of the last generation has experienced such a tuning. Recently it became known about an interesting specimen, which was "pumped" to 800 hp. with the new 2JZ-GTE engine with several HKS turbines.
While all over the world the masters are engaged in the modernization of the new generation Toyota Supra, Russian fans have just begun to receive the first copies of the Japanese. Sales officially started last week. In the assembly for the Russian Federation, the Supra received a 3.0-liter engine from BMW, equipped with turbines. As a result, the power was 340 hp.
