Chery previously announced that it plans to significantly expand the range of its premium sub-brand Exeed in the coming years. In addition to crossovers, this list will have to include at least one minivan. By the looks of it, the family car will hit the market within the next year. This is evidenced by photographs published by Chery.
The manufacturer showed in the first two pictures how the future Exeed minivan will look like, which will probably be assigned the VM index. The Chinese model is distinguished by an elongated body, characteristic of its class, with a steep rear part, on which fairly large lamps and glass of a large area are placed. The stern optics are presented in the form of long curving LED strips. Moreover, in the center, they protrude slightly against the background of the tailgate, thus forming a kind of spoiler. The front pillars of the minivan are heavily overwhelmed, which is why the car has acquired a sporty look.
The Chinese model also stands out with an elongated, voluminous hood. At the front of the minivan, there is a radiator grille characteristic of the latest Exeed crossovers, next to which there are narrowed headlights.
Chery has not yet disclosed details about its new product. But the minivan is expected to share the motor gamut with the Exeed crossovers. And he will borrow engines from the flagship models. This means that a 2-liter engine will appear under the hood of the Exeed VM minivan. Probably, its power will not exceed 254 hp, and the torque will reach 390 N * m. Complete with this unit, they will offer a 7-stage "robot". According to rumors, the Chinese minivan will also receive four-wheel drive with a multi-plate clutch.
