Chery recently launched sales of premium cars in Russia under its own sub-brand CheryExeed. But this brand did not last long. Now all cars sold in Russia will be equipped with the Exeed nameplate. It is under this brand that Chery supplies premium cars to the home market.
Recall that after the Chinese company announced the appearance of the Exeed brand in Russia, many experts pointed to the consonance of the name with the Kia XCeed. Chery representatives have never commented on this. However, in 2020, the Chinese company announced that it would sell premium models in Russia under the CheryExeed brand. At the same time, representatives of Chery said that the change in the name of the sub-brand has nothing to do with XCeed.
Now the Chinese manufacturer is returning to its former name. This decision was due to the results of the survey. He showed that most car enthusiasts share the Chery and Exeed brands. Therefore, the Chinese company, apparently, decided to finally fix this in the names of the cars produced.
Note that rumors about the separation of the two brands in Russia appeared long before the official publication of this news. A number of experts recently suggested that new models of the Exeed brand will arrive in our country with their own logos. The Chery company will soon be engaged in the rebranding of all car dealerships, in which the crossovers of the Chinese premium brand are presented today. And in the next few months, 2 more Exeed models should enter the Russian market, including, according to rumors, the flagship VX.
