Chery has announced the start of accepting pre-orders for the new Exeed TX crossover. This model is still available on the home market. The Chinese crossover is priced at a minimum of 159 thousand yuan (1.79 million rubles). The top version Exeed TX costs 179.9 thousand yuan (2.02 million rubles).
Despite the relatively low price, the Chinese novelty in a number of characteristics is quite comparable to the previous generation Lexus NX (the current version of the Japanese model has not yet been fully declassified). The presented crossover has retained the recognizable design characteristic of the Exeed brand products. In particular, the Chinese model is distinguished by an elongated front part of the body with an elongated head optics, interconnected by a plastic overlay. In the center of the bumper is a huge air intake, crossed by horizontal strips. The latter rest against the side cutouts for ventilation openings and a block with additional lights.
The interior of the Chinese model is also decorated in the style of other Exeed crossovers. The novelty is equipped with a large display, divided into 2 segments: one for the digital instrument panel, the second for the multimedia screen. The onboard electronics are reportedly controlled by an Intel 2GHz processor. The embedded software supports remote update and driver biometric recognition. Included with the novelty are also a Sony stereo system with 12 speakers and an electrically heated steering wheel.
The Exeed TX is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing up to 261 hp. net power and 400 N * m tractive torque. Such a motor is combined only with a two-disk "robot" for 7 speeds. Exeed TX is equipped with four-wheel drive by default.
