For several years, rumors circulated that Honda would release the Type S Acura NSX. The manufacturer has now confirmed this information by publishing a series of teaser images. At the same time, Honda announced that the official debut of the Japanese supercar will take place on August 12th.
The manufacturer does not disclose any details about the technical equipment of its new items. The only thing that Honda has confirmed is that the Acura NSX Type S will get a V6 biturbo engine that will be paired with electric motors and proprietary all-wheel drive.

Note that the standard supercar is similarly equipped. It is also powered by a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder twin turbocharged engine. The declared power of this unit is 500 hp. with a maximum torque of 550 N * m. Together with him, 3 electric motors are installed at once on the Acura NSX, combined with a 1.3-kilowatt battery. Together, all motors produce up to 573 hp. net power and 645 N * m tractive torque.

Honda previously announced that it will release only 350 copies of the Acura NSX Type S. And 300 of them will go to the American market. This version of the supercar will be the first to be sold outside of Japan. And next year, production of the Acura NSX will be stopped. The car is officially leaving the global market.
