Representatives of the premium car brand Acura have officially announced that the new 2021 TLX Type S will go on sale in May. The novelty will be powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that generates 355 hp. and 480 N * m of torque. Paired with a sport-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission, power is transferred to the Super Handling all-wheel drive system as standard.
The suspension of the new TLX Type S consists of double wishbones at the front and multi-link at the rear. In addition, the model is equipped with adaptive shock absorbers. The car from Acura will be available with 20-inch wheels as standard, while the braking system at the front will be in charge of 4-piston mechanisms from Brembo. The manufacturer also revealed that the Japanese model will have an exclusive “Sport Plus” driving mode, which has been specially designed to provide additional performance and driving pleasure. More detailed information on technical characteristics will be announced closer to the start of auto sales.
The car has a sporty appearance with a large open radiator grille on the lower bumper that allows for increased airflow. Also, the Acura TLX Type S received front and rear splitters, a spoiler and an exhaust system with four tailpipes, which are separated by the original diffuser. In addition, it should be noted the fully LED optics and the exclusive Tiger Eye Pearl body color.
In addition to the sporty look, the Acura TLX Type S has good interior equipment. The car is available with ultra-suede seats as standard. In addition, the front row is heated and ventilated, and can also be adjusted in 16 positions. The center console houses a 10.2-inch multimedia screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
