The head of the Indian division of the German auto concern Audi Balbir Singh Dillon said that the German company has plans to expand the model range and that three more cars can be expected to debut by the end of this year. The strategy is aimed at increasing the presence of the brand in the local market. Not so long ago, the concern has already presented the Audi RS5 Sportback, S5 Sportback, restyled A4, as well as their electric counterparts in the face of the e-tron and e-tron Sportback.

Although Balbir Singh Dillon did not specify which models will appear, it is assumed that at least one of them will be an electric vehicle. Details about the new products have not yet been disclosed. Although, judging by what models are currently sold in other countries, it can be assumed that these will most likely be the coupe e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT sedans. And the chances that they will come to India are very high.

In addition, it is also very interesting that electric cars are in good demand in the local market. This is evidenced by the completely sold out batch of e-tron and e-tron Sportback vehicles. Both came to India in three trim levels: the e-Tron 50, the e-Tron 55, and the e-Tron Sportback 55. They differ only in the power reserve. It is currently unknown how many cars have been sold out. It is possible that the batch of cars was small and was brought in to study demand. Nevertheless, they showed a good start. Therefore, nothing prevents the German concern from launching three more models on sale, as the head of the Audi division spoke about.

In terms of conventional ICE vehicles, Audi has been working for some time now to bring the next generation Q3 crossover, facelifted Q5 and redesigned Q7 to India. Unfortunately, the situation is compounded by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, the concern and its Indian division do not lose hope that all problems will be solved and the cars will still reach their owners.
