The Chinese company Chery for the fifth anniversary of one of its most popular crossovers Tiggo 7 has launched its next update.
The new "pluses" of the Tiggo 7 have not lost the familiar family look, which is recognizable and loved by many drivers. The creators mention some kind of sports component in the design of the model, but the car remains more of a calm high cross, than a "pumped-up SUV", on which one wants to dash into the distance. Perhaps the appearance of narrow and long headlights with horizontal daytime LEDs, which draw a line to the sharp triangles of the heat sinks, could provoke the mischievous behavior.
The completely black pillars between the doors and the rear of the Chery Tiggo 7 PLUS add air to the design. Visually, from a distance, the feeling of a "floating" roof is created, which is reinforced by two chrome piping. Differences from the "big brother" at the rear are expressed in a double spoiler. Also, the manufacturer's name is now attached in a narrow area between the glass and the light strip. Below, like on the Tiggo 7, there are embossed bumps, which are emphasized by a chrome trim.
Inside, the novelty is not replete with delights, but at the same time, the creators assure that this is a deceptive impression. The driver will use dual LCD displays: a dashboard screen and multimedia. A 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel will help control most of the crossover options. Fans of everything new will like the electronic gear selector.
The new Tiggo 7 PLUS is available with two engine options. Both are from turbocharged Kunpeng Power. The 1.5-liter unit produces 156 horsepower at maximum with a torque of 230 N * m. Its more powerful 1.6-liter counterpart has 197 "horses" (up to 290 N * m of thrust). Crossovers with the first powertrain option will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed CVT. A more powerful engine only comes with a 7-band "robot".
Recall that the announced pre-sale prices for Chery Tiggo 7 PLUS started at 86,900 yuan, which is equivalent to 981 thousand rubles.
