Great news for many fans of inexpensive Chinese crossovers - the new Chery Tiggo 7 PLUS (known as Tiggo 7 Pro in Russia) will be on sale in just a few days. Namely, September 27, 2021. The price for a new version of the popular car will start at 86,900 yuan or 986,000 rubles. The updated Chery Tiggo 7 PLUS will offer a choice of two variants of turbocharged engines with a volume of 1, 5 and 1, 6 liters, as well as a manual or automatic transmission.
The design of the 2022 Chinese crossover has changed a lot from its predecessor. It seems to us that any driver who loves big cars will immediately understand which brand of cars were taken as a basis for creating the new Tiggo. Elements of the status models of Infiniti are instantly recognizable in the outlines of the Chinese SUV. The Tiggo 7 PLUS has an almost identical radiator grille and overall body shape. The car looks convex, interesting and very modern, even though it belongs to the segment of relatively budget crossovers.
The waistline runs through the entire body of the vehicle to the rear, curving strongly over the aft fender. This again reminds us of Infiniti. A very neat roof spoiler gives the rather minimalist tailgate a sporty look. Here the shape of the headlights immediately catches the eye, which are brought together into one common structure, which runs along the entire width of the body. All this looks modern and stylish, coupled with a bumper, from which chrome tailpipes protrude on both sides.
Inside the new Chery Tiggo 7 PLUS there is also something to please you. The attractive upholstery contrasts stylishly with the blue dashboard details and seat stitching. It all looks as if we are facing a car from a completely different price segment.
The only thing that will surely upset many fans of the model is the weak engine. At base, the new car is expected to be powered by a 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum output of just 147 horsepower. Given the heavy weight of the crossover and its brutal and sporty appearance, this value does not seem to be enough. However, it will be possible to judge this only after the test on the track.
