It is reported that the Chinese novelty will replace the departed QQ electric car, and its name will be supplemented with the phrase Ice Cream. According to the company, the model will be very popular among the youth category of motorists, as it has an original appearance and modern characteristics. However, local media representatives saw something different in this debutant. In their opinion, the new Chery QQ Ice Cream is the visual counterpart of another electric vehicle from China - the best-selling Wuling Hongguang Mini EV on the market. Indeed, both models are close to each other in terms of the exterior.
Despite slightly different dimensions and different head optics, the overall design of the two models is very close to each other. Especially here it is worth noting the presence of cubic shapes in both cars. If we compare the length of the two electric cars, then the Chery model has this parameter of 2.98 meters, while the Mini EV reaches 2.92 meters. In addition, the novelty also has a wheelbase increased by 2 cm.
In terms of strength, the Ice Cream outperforms the competition. So, for their new product, Chery specialists offer an electric motor with 28 hp, while the car from Wuling is capable of boasting only a 17-horsepower engine. This allows the QQ to cover a distance of approximately 200 km without recharging. The production of this model will be launched already this year, and the price for a car will be equivalent to 340 thousand rubles.
