In India, Citroen is developing its program to develop and release new budget models. The second car for this market should be the compact crossover C3, which will compete locally with KIA Sonet, Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the like. That is, the French model will cost about 600-700 thousand rubles in terms of the Russian currency. The novelty has already been repeatedly spotted during the passing of tests and recently another photo of a camouflaged prototype on public roads in India appeared on the Web.

The prototype still has a fairly large layer of camouflage film, so all you can see are rectangular taillights, an additional brake light at the top and stamped steel wheels. It is also worth noting that the crossover handles are hidden in the area of the door panels and are not hold-downs.

While the manufacturer continues to test its new product with a camouflaged body, its design has been partially revealed due to the creation of a compact layout. Thanks to him, it became clear that the crossover will receive a proprietary grille and separate headlights, similar to those seen in the latest Citroen C5 Aircross. To give the car more effect, it will be offered in a two-tone body design.
With regards to the interior, thanks to the previously made "spy" photos, we can say that it will receive a multimedia system display installed on the center console, which has the ability to wirelessly connect to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the compact crossover will also likely get a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and an analog dashboard, at least as standard.
It is expected that the novelty in the engine compartment will contain a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 130 hp. It will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. According to recent rumors, the manufacturer may also install a DCT automatic transmission in the model. But the diesel power unit, most likely, will not be.
