A large number of modern car companies are currently producing exclusive products for the Chinese market. One of these cars is the recently updated and not yet officially unveiled Citroen C3-XR. This car is manufactured at the Dongfeng plant in China. According to the statements of the company representatives, the official debut of the compact crossover should be expected on May 25. The start of its sales is scheduled for July this year. The model has significantly changed in appearance relative to the current version and the Russian C3 Aircross, and a three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with a volume of 1.2 liters will be installed under its hood (photo: autohome.com.cn).
The current version of the model
The front end of the refreshed C3-XR is prettier than the current model. It uses the “family” design language that Citroen is trying to apply to all of its new cars. The headlights have received a thinner shape, and most of the bumper is occupied by a massive trapezoidal radiator grille in the style of the pre-styling Mitsubishi ASX. All this gives the crossover sportiness. In addition, the area of the fog lamps has been improved, which are now oriented vertically and have LED filling.
New Citroen C3-XR
The side profile and most of the stern are in line with the style of the current model. But the roof rails have received a black finish, which also gives them a sportier look. The body length of the compact crossover is 4288 mm, width - 1748 mm, height - 1557 mm. The wheelbase is 2655 mm. Under the hood of the updated model will be located a three-cylinder 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with 115 hp. The transmission will remain the same, which means that it will function as a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive, of course.
The cost of the car has not yet been announced. But it is worth saying that the current version is now available at a minimum price of 109,000 yuan (1.246 million rubles). For the top-end modification of the cross, the manufacturer asks for 112,000 yuan (1.28 million rubles).
