The Changan company announced the start of sales of the updated Kaicheng F70 pickup truck. This model is comparable to Toyota Hilux in terms of characteristics and equipment level. However, the Chinese novelty turned out to be about 1.5 million rubles cheaper than the Japanese pickup: 96.9 thousand yuan (1.09 million rubles) are requested for it on the home market. The top version of the Changan Kaicheng F70 is estimated at 124.8 thousand yuan (1.4 million rubles).
Despite the declared value, the Chinese model is rich in equipment. Only the engine range includes 3 power units at once. The top-end versions of the Kaicheng F70 are equipped with a 163-horsepower 2-liter turbodiesel engine. Together with it, a supercharged gasoline unit with a volume of 2.4 liters is also offered, developing up to 211 hp. power. The initial versions use another 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine with a maximum output of 150 hp. These engines offer 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions, as well as all-wheel drive with new high-damping hubs for improved off-road comfort.
The Chinese model is equipped with a 10-inch "pendant" touchscreen monitor, which in the top versions supports the proprietary remote control system through a special mobile application and online navigation maps. The pickup comes with an engine start button, dual-zone climate, electronic parking brake, leather seats and other options.
Visually, the Kaicheng F70 hasn't changed much. In fact, all the improvements are cosmetic in nature. So, a larger inscription with the brand name appeared on the front of the pickup.
