Not so long ago, an official representative of the Changan company announced that a new version of the Raeton CC Blue Whale Edition will be on sale on September 30th. Compared to the previous model, the car will offer its customers some upgrades to both the exterior and interior. The upgraded configuration will include the proven new generation Blue Whale NE1.5T powertrain.
As usual, let's start with the look. Unfortunately, there are no significant differences compared to its predecessor, the Raeton CC Blue Whale Edition. This is the same compact family sedan, with the exception of a few details. It seems that when engineers think about how to change this for a fresh version of their car, first of all, they use their energy to update the design of the radiator grill. It is completely new here and is a raised mesh, decorated with numerous chrome stripes. This made the car look really richer. Moreover, visually, it began to resemble the latest Hyundai Tucson. The design of the headlights has also changed, which now resemble the lamps from the Corolla, and under them there are stylish air intakes.
The general shape of the body, as well as its sides, has hardly changed. The decorative red stripes have been replaced with cute door trims. It looks very nice. Perhaps leaving everything almost unchanged here was a good idea. The taillights are slightly darker, and, coupled with the twin tailpipes, the rear of the car now looks more sporty and vicious.
The dimensions of the body are the same. The length, width and height of the new car are 4800/1825/1465 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2770 mm.
The designers approached the renovation of the interior of the Raeton CC Blue Whale with no less caution. The shape of the center console has become a bit simpler, as has the keypad. In general, the interior, of course, began to look fresher, but only slightly. The center screen is exactly the same as before, with a diagonal of 10.2 inches. He is responsible not only for multimedia functions, but can also display a panoramic picture with an angle of 540 degrees.
As the engine, the Raeton CC offers a turbocharged four-cylinder Changan Blue Whale 1.5T series, the maximum power of which reaches 188 horsepower. This is very good, because the previous version of the model had 8 hp. less.
