Changan has completed the development of the updated Kaicheng F70 pickup truck. The car has already arrived at official dealers in China, and its sales will start on September 26th. According to the published information, the manufacturer made relatively minor adjustments to the appearance of the pickup and improved its off-road capabilities.
Visually, the car seemed to remain the same. Changan has updated the model name on the large grille, leaving the wide lacquered bezel. Large lights with LEDs are still placed on the sides of it, and a metal plate is mounted on the bottom of the front bumper.
The interior of the Chinese model also remained unchanged. However, Changan has equipped the Kaicheng F70 with a new 10-inch touchscreen monitor. The Chinese pickup truck is now complemented by an improved driver interaction system. In particular, it supports online entertainment and a navigation map that is updated in real time. In addition, built-in equipment can be checked remotely using a smartphone.
Complete with the Chinese novelty, they will offer cameras with a 360-degree view, a multifunction steering wheel, electric heating for the first row of seats, electrically adjustable side mirrors, a stereo system with four speakers, an engine start button, keyless entry and other equipment. As standard, the pickup is complemented by an air filtration system in the cabin, which does not allow viruses and bacteria to pass through.
As part of the modernization, Changan engineers modified the Kaicheng F70 chassis, improving the damping of the bushings and thereby reducing the force of impact on the suspension while driving off-road. Customers will be offered a choice of 2 turbodiesel engines with a volume of 2 and 2.5 liters, which develop up to 163 and 150 hp, respectively. Also, a 2.4-liter turbo engine with a maximum output of 211 hp is supplied with the Chinese model. Together with each unit there is a manual or automatic transmission for 6 speeds.
