Chinese carmaker Changan is one of the flagships in the home market. On the eve of the representatives of the company showed a new electric-gasoline model - a hybrid SUV UNI-K IDD.
This model practically does not differ from the classic Changan UNI-K, which will soon arrive in Russia. Visually, the cross is distinguished by the IDD nameplate installed on the trunk lid. Also, the SUV received two compact tailpipes of the exhaust system, which replaced the four large outlets offered for the standard version of the car.
The main innovations await the crossover's engine compartment. Now, instead of the standard gasoline engine, the car is equipped with a hybrid. The base for it was a turbocharged unit of 1.5 liters, producing a power of 170 "horses". This installation is complemented by an electric motor, the output of which is equal to 116 hp. Thanks to the electric motor, the car will be able to travel about 130 kilometers. If we talk about the total distance that Changan UNI-K IDD is able to overcome due to the work of gasoline and electric engines, then it is about 110 kilometers.
It has not yet been announced when the SUV may go on sale. Also, there is no data on the possible level of prices for the car. If we talk about the standard cross, then it went on sale in China at the beginning of this spring. The minimum price tag of Changan UNI-K is 1.7 million rubles, but the most "packed" crossover is estimated at 2.08 million rubles in equivalent. On the territory of Russia, the standard model should debut this year, since at the moment the cross is completing the certification procedures. The model will compete with the Japanese Lexus NX.
