A few months after the presentation, Changan announced the start of sales in the home market of the new Uni-T crossover. The car is offered at a price of 115.9 thousand yuan (1.32 million rubles) in five versions. The most expensive version of the crossover costs 138.9 thousand yuan (1.58 million rubles). Despite its relatively low price tag, the new Uni-T can offer buyers what Lexus crossovers lack.
So, the Chinese model is equipped with 20-inch wheels with a unique design. The crossover has a split spoiler at the stern by default, which gives the car a sportier look. The new product comes with a 10.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, which are combined into one unit.
One of the notable features of the Uni-T is that it implements Face ID-like face recognition technology. Thanks to this, the built-in electronics will be able to detect which driver got behind the wheel and automatically make changes to the settings. Also, the Chinese model stands out for its high-quality panoramic display systems and good acoustics.
Together with the crossover, electrically adjustable heated front seats, a large washer for adjusting the transmission (there is no gearshift lever in the cabin), an engine start button, seats with leatherette lining and other options are supplied.
Under the hood of the Uni-T, a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine familiar from other Changan models is installed. On the novelty, the power of this unit was increased to 188 hp. This engine is combined with exhaust manifolds, supplemented by a dual outlet, electronically controlled turbocharging and a 7-speed "robot".
