Chinese automaker Changan has officially released information on the available configurations of the new Auchan X7 Plus crossover and revealed a pre-sale start date. The model will receive 9 different modifications, each of which will be powered by Blue Whale NE 1.5-liter turbocharged engines. The official start of sales is scheduled for August 27.
In front, the new crossover is exactly the same as its younger brother Changan Auchan X7. It copies its large grille, which is divided by a black stripe. The golden Chevrolet cross begs for it, since the front of the car is incredibly similar to the Malibu sedan. The grille itself has a diamond shape with a chrome texture, which gives the car a high cost and status. The headlights look very slim and have an LED layout.
Looking at the car body from the side, one cannot say that it has any design features. Typical layout common to many crossovers. Only from below it can be seen that the doors have lining made of unpainted plastic, which completely cover the thresholds, which solves the problem of stained clothes in bad weather. Kia and Skoda do something similar in their crossovers. The dimensions of the body are as follows: length, width and height are 4730/1870/1720 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2786 mm. There are six color options to choose from: Star Red, Star White, Interstellar Gray, Azure Blue, Sky Blue, and Star Blue.
The car interior is greeted by a massive LCD panel that combines the instrument panel and the multimedia system. It is slightly turned towards the driver, giving the impression that the car was made just for him. Depending on the configuration, the diagonal of the multimedia may be different. For example, 7, 10, 25 or 12.3 inches. And the flap can have the following options: 3, 5, 7 or 10, 25 inches.
The power units are as follows: one and a half liter turbo engine in two modifications for 170 and 188 hp. There are also two transmissions - a six-speed traditional "mechanics" or a seven-speed "robot" with a wet double clutch.
