Changan has begun shipping its new Uni-T crossover to its dealers. This model, which debuted a few months earlier, should be a direct competitor to the Lexus NX. In particular, both cars are not only comparable in technical characteristics, but also outwardly similar to each other. At the same time, the cost of the Chinese novelty will be cheaper.
Under the hood of the Uni-T is a 1.5-liter supercharged unit. Its declared maximum power is 188 hp and the torque reaches 300 N * m. Note that other specifications of the Uni-T were published earlier. It was believed that the crossover will receive a 233-horsepower 2-liter turbo engine. Now this information has not yet been confirmed. But regardless of the type of engine that the Uni-T will be equipped with, a 7-speed "robot" will be offered along with each unit.
The interior of the Chinese novelty is sheathed in artificial leather with contrasting stitching. Buyers will have access to two 12.3-inch screens connected to each other. It is known that the Chinese crossover implements face recognition technology. The front seats of the novelty are complemented by pronounced lateral support, electric heating and a servo drive.
So far, Changan has not disclosed a launch date for Uni-T. But if you consider that the car began to be shipped to official dealers, the new product will enter the market in the coming weeks. Note that later Uni-T may come to Russia. Changan company announced a few months ago that it plans to supply models of this premium brand to our country. But if the manufacturer does not abandon its decision, the appearance of Uni-T in Russia can be expected no earlier than next year.
