The Changan company relatively recently introduced a new crossover Auchan X5, which, in terms of characteristics and dimensions, is a full-fledged competitor to the Mazda CX-5. But in spite of the fact that the Chinese model has not been presented on the home market for long, the manufacturer decided to carry out a planned update. Moreover, thanks to a document published by the local Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it became known what changes await the crossover.
Judging by the photos, which fragmentarily reveal the appearance of the new Auchan X5, the car will become more sporty after the modernization. So, the manufacturer will offer 2 options for the radiator grill. One of its versions has increased the number of vertical metal strips. This creates a "waterfall" effect: the racks seem to flow downward. Probably, as an option, Auchan X5 buyers will be offered a radiator grill with bright inserts. A similar decor will appear on the bottom side doors and on a large rear spoiler, which is likely to be purchased for a surcharge too.
Together with a radiator grille, complemented by contrasting inserts, the Aushan X5 acquires an original rear bumper. It houses 4 round tailpipes at once, spaced in two on the sides. They are framed by a curving decorative strip painted in the same color.
Let's remind that the Chinese model is sold only in the local market so far. Prices for it start at 69.9 thousand yuan (797 thousand rubles). The crossover is equipped with only a 1.5-liter engine. Its naturally aspirated version produces no more than 128 hp. net power, and in the turbocharged version, the output is increased to 180 hp.
