Chinese automaker Changan has launched an updated version of the CS55 Plus crossover. It is reported that the company's dealers in the Middle Kingdom have already begun to accept pre-orders from customers for the purchase of new items.
The premiere display of the SUV took place during the April Auto Show in Shanghai. Then the manufacturer declassified the appearance of the crossover and a number of its characteristics. So, the dimensions of the updated version of the Chinese SUV are 4515x1865x1680 mm. The center distance of the SUV has increased in comparison with the previous modification and reaches 2656 mm.
The exterior of the Chinese model has also been seriously transformed. The cross received a narrower head optics with LED lights, a powerful grille, revised bumper design, a new glass line, and other taillights with LED matrices.
After the renovation, the interior of the Chinese car has also changed. The list of its capabilities now includes a digital instrument panel, the most modern multimedia with a "floating" touchscreen, as well as an original flattened steering wheel.
The manufacturer does not offer a wide choice of power characteristics for the updated Changan CS55 Plus. As before, all trim levels have a 1.5-liter turbo engine, the output of which is boosted to 188 hp. A 7-speed "robot" interacts with it. By default, the SUV is produced in a front-wheel drive version, but the buyer can order an all-wheel drive version for a surcharge. The starting price of the updated SUV in the Chinese market is 1.1 million rubles in equivalent. It is not yet known when we can expect the appearance of a SUV in Russia.
