The American brand Chevrolet has entered the home stretch in terms of work on the upgrade of the Silverado pickup. As it turned out, a new version will now be added to the list of available car modifications, which will be called ZR2. This information is confirmed by the published teasers. They showcase the ZR2 nameplate as well as tires with powerful off-road tread. However, this is where all the official details about the future novelty end.

The manufacturer itself is silent about this model, noting only that the ZR2 variation was revived back in 2017 on the updated Colorado. Then the SUV was noted for its high level of performance, demonstrated both off-road and in urban settings. According to auto experts, the range of available powertrains for the ZR2 version will be more powerful than for the Trail Boss modification. It will have characteristics that will allow you to overcome off-road much more confidently.

Earlier, spy photos of the updated pickup were posted on the web, which show that the car has received a modified front end, which relies on an additional protective plate, tow hooks and a new bumper. Experts suggest that the car will get a more powerful suspension, which is able to handle off-road driving more easily, and also provides a more serious level of ground clearance.
As for the classic variation of the Silverado, the updated car will receive a "fresh" exterior and interior, which are capable of visually surpassing the Ram and Ford models. From a technical point of view, the pickup will not change, keeping the current engines. But the option is not excluded that the available list of power units will be expanded.
