The opening of a car dealership in Germany is annually expected by thousands of people who are not indifferent to the novelties of the auto industry. This year there were especially many fans of German BMW models among them, because the company has promised to officially unveil its all-electric i4 M50.
The new car received the slender and elongated proportions of the body of the long-familiar i4. The low roof and the shape of the rear are uniquely combined with the four doors. Despite its impressive size, the electric car looks like a sports equipment, ready to rush away from the start at any second. The length, width and height of the new car are equal to 4785/1852/1448 mm, and the wheelbase is 2856 mm. The drag coefficient is only 0.24.
As for the exterior, the developer has greatly redesigned the front bumper, making it more massive and visually aggressive. The unique electric star-shaped radiator grille significantly increases the chances that the BMW i4 M50 will be instantly recognizable in the traffic. There are also air ducts on both sides of the front bumper for cooling the brakes. They are made of very lightweight carbon fiber. At the back of the i4 M50 electric car there is a slightly unusual spoiler made of a similar material, which looks strange and even raises doubts about its effectiveness. But it is unlikely that the designers would take the risk of installing useless parts on their car. At the very least, this spoiler contributes to a more aggressive stern design. The most unique details of the new car are the double five-spoke wheels, side skirts and matte Portimão blue.
According to the manufacturer, the engine of this electric vehicle is capable of delivering 544 horsepower, and its maximum torque is 795 N * m. The power is really huge. The BMW i4 M50 even dwarfs the new M4 Thunder. Accordingly, the new car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in just 3, 9 seconds.
