A few weeks ago, photos of the new generation BMW 3-Series were leaked online, which fully reveal the front end of the Bavarian model. Judging by those pictures, despite the change in generation, the sedan will get off with only cosmetic repairs. Initially, experts assumed that BMW would revise the 3-Series engine range. But, as it turned out, they were mistaken in this too.
Actual model
According to sources close to BMW, the company will not change the engine range: the new generation 3-Series sedan will borrow all the engines from its predecessor. This means that the choice of buyers of the future Bavarian model will be offered several 4- and 6-cylinder petrol and diesel units. The reason why BMW will not make changes to the engine range is probably due to the fact that all current engines have been extremely successful. Moreover, the best of them were recognized turbocharged units with a volume of 2 and 3 liters, which provide sufficient power and are distinguished by good fuel efficiency (photo: instagram.com/wilcoblok).
New generation BMW 3-Series
The upcoming BMW 3-Series will also retain hybrid versions. However, it cannot be ruled out that Bavarian engineers will slightly modify the design of the motors (at least some of them) in order to improve both fuel efficiency and power.
It is expected that the next generation BMW 3-Series will receive an updated multimedia complex and dual screens. A similar solution was previously implemented in the "younger" model 2-Series. The timing of the release of the new generation BMW 3-Series has not yet been announced. Perhaps the sedan won't debut until next year. It is also known that BMW is currently working on an electric version of the 3-Series. But it is still intended for the PRC market.
