The Avtotor company, located in Kaliningrad, announced the start of assembly in Russia of a new premium crossover Genesis GV70. After entering the market, this model will become a direct competitor to the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
Recall that the Korean model officially debuted at the end of last year. To date, she has managed to enter the home market in several other countries. The car is built on the same platform as the Genesis G70 sedan, which is currently sold in Russia. Accordingly, both models shared both the engine range and the list of onboard equipment.
The Korean novelty, like other recent Genesis cars, stands out from the competition with two-tier front and rear optics presented in the form of thin strips of LED lights. From the "older" models, the crossover borrowed a huge grille with a fine mesh.
It is stated that the Genesis GV70 will be available in Russia in 13 body colors. Earlier, Hyundai has published a complete list of configurations and prices for the Korean novelty. In Russia, the Genesis GV70 will be offered with three engines. As a standard, the crossover is equipped with a 2.5-liter supercharged unit, which produces up to 249 hp. useful power. In more expensive trim levels, a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine with a maximum output of 199 hp is used. The top version has a 3.5-liter turbocharged engine. Its maximum output reaches 379 hp. All-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission are supplied with each of these motors. In Russia, the new Genesis GV70 will be sold in four trim levels. Prices for the Korean crossover start at 4, 15 million rubles.
