The Genesis car brand, part of Hyundai Motor Corporation, specializes in the production of premium vehicles. However, its lineup also includes fairly inexpensive options. Moreover, they may soon make their debut on the territory of Russia.
As it became known, representatives of the South Korean company have already launched certification activities that will allow them to obtain the necessary documents to start selling cars on the Russian market. We are talking about the small crossover GV70, as well as the four-door sedan G70. It is reported that these models may go on sale this fall.
As you know, the debut of the affordable GV70 SUV took place at the end of last year. The exterior of the car is made in a style corresponding to the design approaches of Genesis. Also, the model received a rather interesting interior design. In the interior, the most notable elements are the two-spoke steering wheel, as well as the oval touchscreen multimedia display, in which the fingerprint recognition system is integrated. It is not yet clear what characteristics the cross will have on the territory of the Russian Federation, but on the home market the "Korean" is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo engine, a diesel unit for 2.2 liters or a 3.5-liter "aspirated" one.
The G70 sedan received its first update last year. It has become more modern, adapted to the current exterior design. The main innovation in the cabin is the 10, 25-inch multimedia display. There were no changes in terms of power capabilities, but the car was retrofitted with the Sport + mode. In what version the sedan will be presented on the Russian car market is not yet clear.
